Burlington Man Arrested in Shooting Investigation

On Tuesday February 15, 2022 at approximately 6:08 a.m. the Burlington Police Department responded to the 500-block of S. Central Avenue regarding a shooting that had just taken place. Upon arrival, officers located a 64-year old male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his lower extremities. The male was transported to the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The Burlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division began investigating the shooting incident. During the investigation multiple interviews were conducted and search warrants executed. A firearm related to the shooting incident was recovered.

The name of the 64-year old male and his medical status is not being released at this time.

ARREST:Joshua Tracey Manfredi Age 30 of Burlington, Iowa

Charges:

• Willful Injury (Causing serious injury), a Class C felony

• Going Armed with Intent, a Class D felony

• Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor

Manfredi was transported to the Des Moines County Correctional Center and is being held on NO BOND until seen by a judge. Additional charges are anticipated. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
