Tim R. Dennis, 68, of Oneida, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, 2:45 PM at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Tim was born on November 4, 1953 in Galesburg. He was the son of Richard and Virginia (Cunningham) Dennis. Tim is survived by mother, Virginia Dennis of Oneida; his daughter, Brandy (Jim) Walters of Oneida and his granddaughters, Hazel, Isley, and Violet; and his son, Troy (Elizabeth) Dennis of Clarksville, Indiana, and his granddaughter, Theodora; and siblings, Suzie (Jeff) Chase of Aurora, Colorado, Tom Dennis of Woodhull, Sandra Johnson of Oneida and Terry (Lola) Dennis of East Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his father.

Tim was a graduate of ROVA High School. Tim was employed for BNSF Railroad as a Trainman/Conductor for 43 years, where he was known as TR #3. He worked in passenger, commuter, and freight train service. In his free time, Tim enjoyed being behind the wheel of his beloved race cars. Most of all, he loved his family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at the Oneida Cemetery in May. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with their services.
