The United Red Storm hosted Annawan on Tuesday night on Senior Night. In the Varsity game for the Red Storm, seniors Jacob Dutton, Cormaic Flynn, Matt Holmes, Colin Jenks, Nolan Leffler and Aiden Parkins each wanted to remember this one with a victory. The first quarter started out hectic but slowed down a bit two minutes in. Cormaic Flynn had 8 in the opening quarter and Aiden Parkins chipped in with 4 to lead United to a 21-10 lead. The second quarter was all United, as their active hands on defense deflected numerous passes. Precise passing and pin point shooting by the Storm stretched the halftime lead to 43-14. Cormaic Flynn had 9 and sharpshooter Abel Wilson added 8 to lead the way. With a big lead, the Red Storm subbed players in and out throughout the third with Annawan outscoring the Red Storm 17-12 and cutting the lead to 55-31. The fourth was more of the same with the Red Storm and their big crowd enjoying Senior night. Leading the way for United was Cormaic Flynn with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Also scoring were Abel Wilson with 18, Aiden Parkins 6, Nolan Leffler 5. Colin Jenks and Matt Holmes chipped in 3 while Hunter Hall, AJ Jenks, Jacob Dutton and Jack Jungman all added 2.
