Masks Continue to be Required on Public Transportation

Share

The State of Illinois lifted the statewide indoor mask requirement on Monday, February 28, 2022. Masks requirements continue where federally mandated, such as on public transit. Therefore, City of Galesburg Public Transportation is still required by the Federal Transit Administration to require masks on all transit vehicles.

Knowing that it can be challenging to keep up with changing rules and regulations, City of Galesburg bus and paratransit drivers have disposable masks available to riders who might have forgotten their masks. The City of Galesburg Public Transportation will continue to review and update the community as state and federal authorities release new guidance.
