McDonough County deputies arrest Rock Island man on warrant for attempted murder in Scott County, Iowa

On March 17, 2022, at approximately 12:57 a.m. a McDonough County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 67 at approximately North 2100th Road. The vehicle, a red 2005 Dodge Ram, had no registration and multiple equipment violations. The driver of the vehicle, Brandon D. Branigan, 31, of Rock Island, IL was wanted on a NO BOND warrant out of Scott County Iowa for Attempted Murder and Intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Branigan was taken into custody. The passenger in the vehicle Deaguise R. Hall, 32, of Rock Island, IL was cited for Adult use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.

Branigan waived extradition in McDonough County on March 17th and was transported to the Scott County Jail in Davenport, IA where he is awaiting a hearing. Branigan was also charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and cited for not having insurance.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
