Canton Man Charged with Burglary and Possession of Meth

On 04/05/2022, Fulton County Detectives obtained a search warrant for 81 N. 9th Avenue in Canton, IL. The warrant was executed with assistance from the Canton Police Department. A Harley Davidson motorcycle and a number of tools were recovered during the search that had been taken in a residential burglary to a rural Smithfield address. A second Harley Davidson motorcycle and tools were located that were reported stolen from a rural Canton address. Canton Police also located tools that were taken in a burglary to an East Chestnut, Canton address. Approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, prescription pills, and a handgun were located during the search. Christopher Davis, 43 of Canton, was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Residential Burglary, Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Davis’ bond was set at $100,000 (10% to apply).
