MPD Chief Switzer Reminds Monmouth Community of Bird Scooter Laws

Share

As the weather is warming up, the Bird Scooters are back for the Monmouth community to utilize as a form of transportation. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds individuals using the scooters to obey traffic laws and motorists to be on the lookout:

“Please watch out for those. We do have problems with people not obeying traffic signs or just driving down the middle of the road. We don’t want you doing that. People on the scooters need to obey the traffic signs. We don’t want anyone getting hit by a car. Just slow down and be safe.”

Chief Switzer also states the Bird Scooters are not to be ridden on the sidewalks.
