Voters Can Now Request a Mail-in Ballot for the June 28th Primary Election

Registered voters can now request a mail-in ballot for the June 28th primary election in Illinois. The primary is a little less than three months away, but it doesn’t hurt to start planning and get your ballot. State Board of Elections Spokesperson Matt Dietrich says you can start the process on their website: http://elections.il.gov:

“Go to the section that says, ‘information for voters.’ We have a vote by mail tab there that you can click on that will take you through the steps to contact your local election authority or you can simply find contact information for your local election authority on our website and contact them yourself.”

Mail-in ballots will be sent out on May 19th, which is also when in-person early voting begins.
