Alice Pauline Kersey, 76, of Kirkwood, IL, passed away at 3:03 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg, IL. She was born  July 20, 1945 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Jake and Evelyn (Ross) Kersey. Pauline was raised and educated in the Kirkwood area graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1963 and later the Burlington School of Business.

Pauline is survived by her sister, Karen (Max) Shaver of Kirkwood; nieces, Cindy Hallam, Lisa Spilsbury, Michele Fillman and Ange Ballard. Eleven great-nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Martha Killey.

Pauline worked as a bookkeeper locally, in Chicago, and later in Dubuque, IA. She loved horses, music, traveling and spending time with her family. She attended the Kirkwood United Methodist Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood. Memorials may be made to Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center of Galesburg or the Western Illinois Animal Rescue and left in the care of the funeral home. Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville is in charge of the arrangements.
