Monmouth College Women’s Track and Field Team Wins MWC Championship; Men 3rd

The Monmouth College track and field team had a fantastic weekend at the Midwest Conference championship meet at Beloit College in Wisconsin. Several local runners had great performances, including former Farmington Farmer and current Monmouth College senior Jordan Peckham…..former Monmouth-Roseville Titan Kara Fisher was a winner on the women’s side and Fisher’s former teammate at Monmouth-Roseville, Riley Dulin on the men’s side. Here’s Monmouth College Sports Information Director Nathan Baliva with a recap of the weekend.

It has been a successful track and field season for track coach Roger Haynes. Coach Haynes was awarded his 53rd Midwest Conference Track Coach of The Year trophy. Each coach in the Midwest Conference has 4 chances in a season to take home the award in men’s indoor track, men’s outdoor track, women’s indoor track, and women’s outdoor track. Haynes was recognized for his role in this year’s womens outdoor team success. Here’s Baliva with more on Haynes’ continued success as the Scots track team coach.
