Susan M. “Susie” Chandler, 74, of Dahinda, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Susie was born on February 29, 1948 in Bonaparte, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ernest and Genevieve (Nelson) Hall, Sr. Susie married Richard L. Chandler on November 1, 1964 in Berwick. Together, they had two children, Peggy S. (John) Perrin and John P. (Jodi) Chandler. She later met Gerard “Gerry” Walsh in 1998 and they celebrated 23 years together before he preceded her in death on August 27, 2021. Surviving Susie are: her loving children, Peggy and John, both of Monmouth; siblings, Jeanette Craig, Percy (Ella) Hall, Ronald Hall and Cindy Ortery; four grandchildren, Brad Perrin, Katie Perrin, Brent (Ali) Chandler and Derek Chandler; and her beloved dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life-Gerry and eight siblings.

Susie was a graduate of Bushnell High School. She would also drive the school bus for local school districts. Susie loved country music and Radio Mike. Most of all, Susie loved her family, Gerry and her dogs. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory, in Knoxville, Illinois have been entrusted with her arrangements.
