On Saturday, May 7th, the United Way of Greater Warren County will be hosting their Grand Opening celebration of their new location, 87 Public Square in downtown Monmouth. Executive Director Jeannie Weber shares all the festivities to enjoy during the family focused celebration:
“We are going to be throwing a party. We wanted it to be open to the public and family focused. We will have some live music. We are going to have a couple of art projects, one led by the BCA, which is going to be really, really fun. We will be putting handprints on a canvas and it will eventually be hanging in our reading nook that is in the library for children at the new office. In addition to that, we will have food provided by Smithfield, Fareway, and G&M Distributors. We will have outdoor games, musical chairs, a live reading with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and we are also going to have a photo booth.”
United Way of Greater Warren County’s Grand Opening celebration will be held from 11 am to 1 pm. A ribbon cutting will take place at noon followed by the Girl Scouts raising the flag and ICS choir members singing the National Anthem.
