To kick off a summer full of events, the Warren County YMCA will host a Memorial 5K on Saturday, May 28th beginning at 9 am, to honor fallen Veterans and support the local VFW and American Legion, says Healthy Living Director Staci Bass:
“We chose to open the season up with a 5K. It is going to be in honor of our fallen Veterans, and we are going to send proceeds both to the VFW and the American Legion to help those two programs out. The run starts at the VFW and will go all the way to the American Legion and turn around and come back to the VFW.”
Registration is $30 and includes a race t-shirt and a pass to take a dip in the Pattee Outdoor Pool after the race.
