Anna Mae Freeman, 101 of Prairie City and formerly of Abingdon, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Prairie City Rehab & Health Center.

  She was born April; 19, 1921 in Canton, the daughter of Edward and Hazel (Ashby) Neuman.  She married Harmie Seward on May 12, 1938.  She married LeRoy Owens on August 6, 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1970.  She last married Stanley Freeman on November 22, 1989 in Mexico, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2000.  She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Gloria Smith, Mary Wagher and Patricia Jackson, six grandchildren and three sons-in-law, Satch, Robert and Roger, and one daughter-in-law, Linda.

  Anna is survived by two sons, Clifford Seward of Abingdon and Delbert Seward of Prairie City; two daughters, Debra (Bob) Carter of Prairie City and Janet (Jeff) Hunt of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Kenneth (Helen) Neuman of Lewistown; close to 140 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

  She worked at Admiral/Maytag in Galesburg as an Inspector.  Things Ann enjoyed included quilting, crocheting, embroidering, coloring, making Raggedy Anne dolls, going on road trips, and spending time with her family.

  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel followed by her funeral at 11 a.m.  Rev. Jeremiah Barker will officiate.  The service will be live streamed with access available at the bottom of her obituary at www.h-p-w.com. Cremation will be accorded after the funeral with private burial of her ashes at Apple Cemetery near Lewistown at a later date.
