IL Tollway Launches Hot Weather Patrols to Help Motorists During the Extreme Heat

Share

The Illinois tollway is launching hot weather patrols to help motorists during the extreme heat. The patrols are activated when temperatures and humidity become dangerous for stranded drivers. Tollway Roadway District Manager Noel Rodriguez says they can help out in a variety of situations.

“Our employees’ main function is to drive and identify any stranded motorists and assist them with their fuel, tire change, or even let them cool off inside of the truck and even give them a ride over to one of our oases or tollway facilities until their service can come out.”

If you need roadway assistance on the tollway, dial star-9-9-9, noting the nearest mile marker or crossroad. The hot weather patrols are currently running 24 hours a day.
