Monmouth City Council Approves Bid for City Hall Roof Replacement

Share

Monmouth City Council has approved a bid for replacing the roof on City Hall, reports Mayor Rod Davies:

“We have had some leaking issues with that rood off and on for a while. We have tried some patching, so we received a bid to just go ahead and get that coated and a new membrane put down and also get the parapet walls sealed up so that we make sure we deal with all the water infiltration issues. Andy’s Roofing and Construction from Smithshire was the low bid, just under $20,000 to get that roof repaired and the parapet walls sealed. Hopefully that will get things fixed up for us. It also had a 20-year warranty on that product.”

Furthermore, Monmouth City Council also approved the sale for the surplus ladder truck the Monmouth Fire Department is no longer utilizing to a private buyer for $14,000.
