Ryan Matthew Stromson, 36 of Abingdon, died Friday June 10, 2022.

  He was born May 15, 1986 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, the son of John and Cathy (Carlson) Stromson.

  Ryan is survived by one son, Ayden Stromson and one daughter, Brynn Stromson, both at home; his parents, John and Cathy Stromson of Abingdon; his brother, Justin Stromson of Abingdon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Stromson, his maternal grandparents, Kenny and Carol Carlson, one uncle and one cousin.

  Ryan graduated from Abingdon High School in 2004 and later attended Carl Sandburg College.  He worked as a mail delivery truck driver for Ratcliff Transportation Company for 10 years and then was a semi-truck driver for Midstate Manufacturing in Galesburg the past 4 years.  He enjoyed boating, fishing and riding motorcycles.

  Cremation will be accorded and private services will be held at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

  Memorials may be made to Cathy Stromson for a fund for Ryan’s children in care of John & Cathy Stromson, 404 N. Jefferson St., Abingdon, IL 61410.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
