Carolyn Creek, 74, of Galesburg, formerly of Alexis, IL, passed away at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2022 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. She was born in Oquawka, IL, on March 23, 1948, the daughter of Robert R. Sullivan and Pauline Anthony. She was raised and educated in the Alexis area graduating from Alexis High School in 1966.

Surviving Carolyn is one daughter, Sandy Goldizen of St. Joseph, MO; siblings, Fern (Larry) Bridges of Alexis, Patty Lee of Alexis, Cheryl Melton of Monmouth, IL, and Robert Sullivan of Rio, IL; and her grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Kathy Creek.

She was employed by Kraft Foods/Oscar Mayer in Davenport, IA, until her retirement. Carolyn faced life’s diversities head-on with an attitude of respect and love toward others.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family interment will take place in the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL, at a later date. Wise Family Funeral Home, Alexis, is in charge of the arrangements.
