Monmouth’s Downtown Flags Hold Special Meaning

Share

This Independence Day, the flags flying around the square in downtown Monmouth have a very special meaning shares Vice President of the Monmouth VFW Auxiliary and member of the American Legion Auxiliary Annette Manthai:

“Those flags are put up by the American Legion and they are new flags, they just purchased those. Each flag is dedicated by someone that has donated money in memory of a veteran or their family.”

American Flags can be purchased locally at the Monmouth VFW.
