The United Red Storm boys track and field team had an athlete qualify for the state finals this past spring. 2022 graduate Jacob Dutton placed 2nd in the class 1A Wethersfield Sectional with a discus toss of just under 135 feet. He participated in the 1A state finals in Charleston, where he placed 26th overall. The Red Storm boys track and field participation numbers have steadily risen under head coach Ryan Coleman. Coleman said that with the rising numbers, there has been more success, also.
