Chairman Trevor Davies and Local Residents Establishing Monmouth Community Fund

Share

A group of local Monmouth residents have come together to establish the Monmouth Community Fund, which is in partnership with the Galesburg Community Foundation to assess needs in the community and surrounding areas for years to come. Chairman Trevor Davies shares along with his board members; a goal to raise $70,000 is underway to receive a grant match of another $70,000:

“We have Ben Olson, who’s Country Companies is here in Monmouth, Lisa Gavin, Lucy Kellogg-Thompson, Anne Liby, and Cardie Carnes; is the group we have right now that is working with us to get this fund started. What we are trying to do, is we are trying to raise $70,000 and that $70,000 will unlock a matching grant. The matching grant is being provided by the Galesburg Community Foundation, Twomey Family Foundation, and the Greater United Way of Warren County. The big part of this is get this fund established and get it growing; we are going to be able to do things for years and years to come.”
