Dustin Lee Wayne Garner, 34, of Monmouth, Il passed away at 5:16 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Dustin was born March 4, 1988 in Monmouth, IL the son of Larry Lee and Tracy (Andrews) Garner.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth and Little York, graduating from Yorkwood High School in 2007.

Dustin was currently working as a forklift operator and machinist at Wells Pet Food in Monmouth.

He loved playing videogames and watching scary movies.  Dustin also enjoyed fishing, camping the Chicago Bears and was a Dale Earnhardt fan.  He loved spending time with his daughter, family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Isabel Garner; his girlfriend, Marhia Smith; his father, Larry (Kara) Garner all of Monmouth, IL; his mother, Tracy Andrews Garner of Washington, IL; 3 sisters, Anna Macik of Moline, IL, Ashley Gaskill of Alexis, IL and Kayley Garner of Little York, IL; step-brother, Logan Vanskike of Monmouth, IL; step-sister, Megan Greene of Knoxville, IL; his paternal grandmother, Pat Garner of Monmouth; maternal grandmother, Carol Pister of Mojave, AZ and maternal grandfather, Wayne Andrews of Lawrence, KS, paternal step-grandmother, Shirley Caldwell of Monmouth, IL; paternal aunt, Jenny (Matt) Hinton along with several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry “Butch” Garner and maternal grandmother, Sharon Lynn Baker.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, August 19, 2022 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the funeral home.  Cremation will take place following the services. Memorials may be given to the Dustin Garner Memorial Fund to assist his daughter, Isabel and sent to the funeral home.
