LA Dodgers Cubs Trade

The Dodgers have a new addition to their roster.  L.A. acquired right-handed relief pitcher Chris Martin from the Cubs in exchange for utility man Zach McKinstry [[ muh-KINS-tree ]].  Just like Freddie Freeman — Martin helped the Atlanta Braves win last year’s World Series.  He signed a one-year deal with Chicago during the off-season.  The 36-year-old has a 4.31 earned run average over 31-and-a-third innings this season.  This is Martin’s sixth MLB team.  In addition to the Braves and Cubs he also pitched for the Rockies, Yankees and Rangers.  The 27-year-old McKinstry has one home run and four RBIs in eleven at-bats for the Dodgers.  He became a Major Leaguer after being selected in the 33rd round of the 2016 MLB draft out of Central Michigan University.
