Larry W. Barry, 67, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 3:35 am, Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

He was born September 9, 1954 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Raymond and Phyllis (Carnes) Barry.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Larry served in the United States Army for several years as a cook. 

Larry worked at Western Stoneware in Monmouth for many years.  He also cooked at Alfano’s in Monmouth for a time.  Larry had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around.  He was an avid dog lover.  Larry enjoyed cooking and loved to cook for his family and friends.

Surviving Larry is his son, Jason Barry of Abingdon, IL; his siblings, Patricia Barry, Marge Barry, Dan (Melva) Barry and Goldie Barry all of Monmouth, IL, and Tammy Christianson of Roseville, IL.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Kylee Barry, and two brothers, Ronald Michael Barry, Tim Barry. 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Memorials can be made to the Larry Barry Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
