Local Workforce Expo in Early Planning Stages

Share

The Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is in the early stages of collaborating with organizations in hosting a Workforce Expo to address local labor shortages, shares Executive Director Pam Gaither:

“This is something that is not new. The pandemic created a situation for our workforce issues and we are seeing it across the board, not just one specific industry. What we are looking to do is to collaborate with some other organizations to potentially bring a Workforce Expo or something to help with that situation. The Chamber is looking to add a couple added member benefits in the workforce area as well. We are really trying to step up and assist these businesses and like I said, it is not just one industry, it is everywhere.”

More details will be made available as specifics are developed.
