Summer projects are wrapping up as a new school year is right around the corner. Monmouth-Roseville’s Lincoln Early Childhood building saw outdoor improvements with all new concrete parking areas and front door landing, plus a new math curriculum, i-Ready, will be incorporated for the pre-school through First Grade students. Principal Joe Pilger recently attended the annual Principal Meeting with the Regional Office of Education and says there are lots of new programs out there being offered:
“We learn all about what is going on at the ROE and the different programs they have to offer. Typically, I use that time to get with Amy Fullerton and Emily Henry out of the Early Childhood Department and learn a little bit more about what we have going from the Early Childhood standpoint. There is a lot going on in regard to some really neat programming with career exploration and development at the high school level. They were talking about some simulators that you can put kids on to try out different careers through a virtual reality headset so they can experience like welding and experience these things.”
First day of school for Monmouth-Roseville’s K through 12 students is Friday, August 19th. Pre-school begins Monday, August 22nd.
