Our beloved Dylan passed away at age 30 on July 19, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington, surrounded by his loving family and his true love Jesse McQueen. Dylan was born June 29, 1992 in Princeton, Minnesota to Marcie Cooley Jenson and Todd Jenson.
He is survived by his parents as well as grandfather, Jack Cooley of Wataga, Illinois, grandmothers, June Jenson of Foley, Minnesota and Julie Elkington of Everett, Washington, brothers, Colten Walker of Galesburg, Illinois, Derek DeZeller of Foley, Minnesota and Devin Jenson of Waite Park, Minnesota as well as a bonus sister, Brittany Darst of Lansing, Michigan, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and childhood friends. Dylan especially enjoyed meeting his nephew Cash on his last trip to Minnesota.
His sweetheart and true love, Jesse McQueen from Lake Stevens, Washington, stole his heart and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Dylan grew up in Oneida, Illinois and attended ROWVA schools, graduating from Knox County Academy in 2010. He attended Carl Sandburg College from 2015 – 2017, earning a certification in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance and Automotive Technology. He was on the Dean’s List and Honor’s List for 4 quarters.
In 2020 Dylan moved to Everett, Washington seeking better job opportunities and to focus on his sobriety. He maintained his sobriety and we were all very proud of him. He was employed as a landscaper and a carpenter at several companies. He owned and operated his own business, “DJ’s Window Washing” in Everett, Washington and hoped to develop it into a full-time job.
Dylan loved traveling with his loved ones on family vacations. He especially enjoyed hiking in the mountains, camping, sunsets on the water, walks on the beach and enjoying all the natural scenery that Washington State has to offer. He loved classic cars, custom cars, going to the gym and the batting cages.
Dylan cared deeply about his family and was an avid animal lover. He was generous, kind, appreciative,
gentle, respectful, compassionate and polite. He was funny and loved to make people laugh with his “PUN” jokes which came very naturally to him. Dylan was intelligent, inventive, creative and artistic and he was not afraid to try something new. To know him was to ADORE him.
We honor Dylan by fulfilling his final wish of organ donation. He has provided life and health to 5 people—He is our hero!
Dylan touched many lives and will be eternally missed and loved.
