Share

Monmouth-Roseville High School English teacher Mel Agar is the September Teacher of the Month. Wearing multiple hats for the district as she also serves as the Theatre Director, as well as, the Speech Coach at the high school, Agar shares what first led her into pursuing a career in education:

“It was an episode of The Facts of Life. There was an episode where Jo, who was my favorite character next to Natalie, had to choose between like a job in computer software or teaching. She chose teaching and I sat there and watched that episode and just started to cry and was like ‘I want to be Jo.’ That episode seriously completely changed my life.”
