Patsy Ann Wagy, 87, of Galesburg, IL, went to Heaven on September 10, 2022. She was born October 21, 1934 to Glen and Eva Mitchell of Avon Illinois. She was the youngest of 2 daughters.

Patsy attended Illinois Wesleyan College after graduating from Avon High School. She was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota (Professional Music Sorority).

She married Albert Wagy Jr. May 4, 1958 in Avon, IL. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her 3 children, Julie (Dan)Yuhas of Grandview Texas, Liz Rhodes of Avon IL, Chelle (Mike) Howells of St. Louis Missouri, 1 sister, Jane Stevens, 5 grandchildren, Jessi (Moises) Martinez, Zach (Jessica) Ott, Jordan Ott, Anna Rhodes, Sophie Rhodes, a great-granddaughter, Finley Ott and her beloved Pomeranian, Emma.

In Pat’s earlier years, she enjoyed water skiing and boating at Little Swan Lake. She was also an avid golfer. Pat enjoyed cooking and every Sunday she hosted large family gatherings.

After Pat retired from Deutsche Financial Group in 1998, she enjoyed meeting friends for lunch, attending church and family gatherings. Over the years she volunteered at Knox County Nursing Home, St. Mary’s Hospital and Cottage Corner Thrift Shop.

Pat loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Yadier Molina! She watched them faithfully on tv nightly.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the Avon Cemetery. A celebration of Pat and Al’s lives will be held at the Abingdon American Legion following the services. Per the wishes of the family, St. Louis Cardinal attire is requested. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society, Galesburg, IL. Wise Family Funeral Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
