After (9-0) Regular Season, West Central Football Primed to Make Deep Postseason Run

Share

It is officially that time of the season for the West Central high school 8-man football team. Over the weekend, along with the IHSA releasing their 1A-8A class playoffs matchups, the Illinois 8-man Football Association announced their eight first round games. The unbeaten Heat received the number 2 seed and will be hosting 15th seeded South Beloit.
The Heat have run through the season largely uncontested, beating two ranked playoff teams in Milledgeville earlier this year, and the Amboy/LaMoille/Ohio high school coop this past Friday. Head Coach Jason Kirby, says the team must continue to have the same level of focus throughout this playoff season, that they had in the regular season.
