Brenda Lee Olson Workman, 60, of Davenport, Iowa, died at 12:35 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, Illinois.

Brenda was born on September 25, 1962 in Galesburg, the daughter of Lloyd Leroy and Grace Millie (Cadwell) Boughton.

Brenda is survived by one daughter, Amy (Skyler) Cauthon of Galesburg; one son, Shane Olson of Davenport, Iowa; and her beloved five grandchildren, Lyxander, Demitrius, Cheylynn, Grace, and Bentley.  Brenda is also survived by three sisters, Patricia (Samuel) Hopping of Morton, Illinois, Loretta (Randy) Hunnicutt of Missouri, and Sherry Boughton of Moline, Illinois; and two brothers, Thomas (Dorothy) Boughton of Galesburg and Everett Boughton of Knoxville, Illinois.  Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda worked for many years as a home health caretaker.  She also worked for a time at the Galesburg Register Mail and Olson Packaging.  From gardening to delivering newspapers, Brenda enjoyed being outdoors.  Brenda also loved to tan.  However, what she cherished most was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Cremation has been accorded.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  No funeral services are planned.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Watson Thomas Funeral Home, 1849 N. Seminary St., Galesburg, IL 61401.

Two Charged in Drug Induced Death

Two people are charged following a drug induced death last year in Mercer County.  Authorities say officers were called out December 22nd to investigate a death in rural Sherrard.  The
