This is the second time Senegal is participating in the World Cup. The first one was back in 2002 and, surprisingly, they were able to advance to the quarter-finals.
Senegal has won the Africa Cup of Nations having beat Egypt in penalty shootouts. Months later, they faced Egypt again and have beat them one more time in penalty shootouts.
This is one of the best teams of the tournament. They have quality, experience and a lot of young talented players. But some players lack consistency and that could hurt them playing against more competitive teams.
Netherlands have played 4 World Cup finals and have lost all of them. They have been considered the best team of the world in the 70s and still did not manage to win the tournament.
In the last 10 games, Netherlands won 7 games and have tied 3. They have managed to beat Belgium in an away game by 4-1 and Denmark by 4-2. They did really well in the Nations League as well.
