Securely Store Passwords with a Password Manager

Share

Almost every account created today requires a password. Utilizing a password manager creates the ease of tracking each unique password without having to memorize every single one, plus containing the ability to warn you if a data breach has occurred, explains Monmouth College Information Technology Director Nick Carlson:

“Some of the most important things you can do to protect yourself are have a password manager and indeed some of them even have intelligence to share if a recent data breach from a certain company involved a couple of your passwords, please reset them. In some cases, they can actually go out and help you reset them or link you directly to those locations.”

According to Investopedia, the best overall password manager to use is LastPass. The best for extra security features is Dashlane and the best free option is Bitwarden.
