Jamieson Community Center Christmas Store Brings Joy to Local Children

Share

Applications for the Jamieson Community Center Christmas Store and Christmas Baskets are currently being accepted for children age birth to fourteen that live in Warren County, says Executive Director Nancy Mowen:

“The Community Christmas Store is an opportunity for parents to come and shop for their children. They pay $5 to shop. This is very well supported by the community. We have more than 200 children already signed up. For the $5, the parents get to select from new clothing, which we purchase at Kohl’s, and then the community donates everything else. We have blankets and many of those are handmade, we have hats, gloves, and warm winter wear. Last year we had coats for about half our kids and we are trying to increase that a little bit this year. We have a new book for every child and then every child gets a toy, stocking stuffer, and then all of the children’s names are put on the Angel Tree at Midwest Bank.”

The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, November 23rd at 3:30 pm.
