Michael L. ” Mike ” Link, age 51, formerly of Oquawka and currently of Iowa City, Iowa; passed away at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa on November 19, 2022 at 2:35 pm. Mike was born on March 10, 1971 in Monmouth, Illinois and was raised and attended school in Oquawka and Union High School. Michael had various employments locally and most of all was a musician and loved do public performance. He loved music and loved to perform for various audiences in the area and in Iowa City. He also was very fond of his pet dogs, “Seether” and “Hank”. Mike is survived by his mother, Carolyn Link of Oquawka, Illinois and his three sisters, Susan Meadows of Cape Canaveral, Florida; Debra and Matt Godsil of Moline, Illinois; and Theresa Myers of Oquawka, Illinois. Also surviving is his brother, Richard and Jean Link, Jr. of Burlington, Iowa. He is preceded in his death by his father, Richard Sr., all four of his
grandparents, his aunts, uncles, and other relatives. As are his wishes, no viewing and/or funeral ceremonies are being planned by his family and cremation is being accorded.
