Monmouth Kiwanis Club Packs Shoeboxes for Global Mission

Share

Operation Christmas Child sends various items to children overseas, while also sharing the good news of Jesus. The Monmouth Kiwanis Club participated in the mission by packing their own shoeboxes, shares President Julie Shaw:

“We packed shoeboxes for children overseas. We packed for boys and girls ages 10 through 14. We packed at least 10 boxes, I think we actually packed 12. The wow gift was a soccer ball and pump and then we brought other little items that could fill up the shoebox, like hair ties.”

National Collection week for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes is going on now through November 21st. Locally, shoeboxes are being collected at Immanuel Baptist Church on Sunny Lane before their trek overseas.
