$18,000 was raised during the Buchanan Center for the Arts Taste of the Arts Gala, which benefits programming at the BCA, as well as outreach partners, says Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert:

“We celebrated winter holidays throughout the world. It was really lovely to see everyone’s creativity and all those different cultures represented. We raised $18,000 for BCA programming and our outreach partners including Dancer’s Studio of Monmouth, who will be presenting The Nutcracker at the Orpheum Theatre, the Monmouth Civic Orchestra, who we just saw partner with Monmouth College music groups for Christmas at Monmouth and they will have future programming coming up as well. We also have the Buchanan Community Chorus, as well as the ICS Theater production, and the Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation, who just hosted Live Music with Jim Gill.”

Gilbert shares the funds received are also used to match grants received from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the National Endowment for the Arts to further support the BCA and local community.
