Annual Luminary Candlelight Celebration This Saturday at the Knox County Humane Society

The annual luminary candlelight celebration at the Knox County Humane Society will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 5 to 6:30 pm. Executive Director Erin Buckmaster says the event is a great way to honor your pets:

“A lot of people want to remember their pet and you will get your pets name on it and they are $5 each. We light them and you can drive around and see them all through the event. It is a lighting of the candles and it is really a beautiful sight, a good way to remember those pets that we love. So many of us lose pets and it is like losing a member of the family. I think this is a good way to remember and also help the shelter pets in the process.”

Luminaria bags can be purchased at the Knox County Humane Society up until the lighting on December 31st.
