Are You Prepared for Winter Driving?

Share

As the seasons change from fall to winter, snow and ice are inevitable in the Midwest, which also means changing driving habits, says Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“When it happens, that will be the first time this year of driving in ice and snow and you kind of have to get yourself in a different mode from summer driving into snow and ice driving. Just everybody, if it is snowing or it’s icy out, slow down, give everybody plenty of room, and pay attention to what is going on around you, and drive safely.”

Furthermore, Chief Switzer informs Snow Emergencies for the City of Monmouth are declared when two or more inches of snow are forecasted for the local area.
