Don’t Become an Easy Target While Holiday Shopping

Share

Holiday shopping season is here, and Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer advises putting your purchases in the trunk and to remember to lock your car doors:

“Those are prime opportunities for someone to be walking by your car and grab free gifts. If you put things in your car while you are shopping, make sure your car is locked. If you can put them in your trunk so they are out of plain view that would be even better. Still make sure your car is locked. Overnight, don’t leave your car unlocked. People do nefarious things at two o’clock in the morning and are out looking for an open vehicles and easy targets.”
