Illinois Agri-Women Provide Young Girls with an Opportunity to Explore Careers in Agriculture

Share

The Illinois Agri-Women will host their annual Women Changing the Face of Agriculture career exploration event on Friday, March 3rd at Carl Sandburg College, which gives all women the opportunity to explore career paths offered in agriculture. Gayle Baker with the Illinois Agri-Women encourages those interested to register early:

“This event features all different kinds of careers in the realm of agriculture. For high school girls, if they want to know what some opportunities are after they graduate, this is a great opportunity to come hear from women that work in the professional realm of agriculture. It will be at Carl Sandburg on March 3rd. They can register through their FFA advisors or through their 4-H clubs. We are also looking for women that work in agriculture, whether you are a livestock farmer, or you work with Compeer Financial or another banking firm, we want you to come talk about your career and why women have a great opportunity in the ag industry.”

Miriam Hoffman, a senior at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, will be the keynote speaker of the event in March. More details and registration can be found online at https://womenchangingthefaceofagriculture.com/.
