“Lil” Bill (William W.) DeLancey, age 71, rose to heaven November 30, 2022.
Born January 25, 1951 to the late Marlin and Helen (Zeimmer) DeLancey. He is survived by his sister, Nancy (James) Winebrenner.
Bill served in the Navy from 1969 to 1973 and is a member of the American Legion Post #381 in Abingdon. He spent many successful years in sales. Bill had the gift of gab, loved a good joke and enjoyed being with friends and loved ones. He was a good friend to many.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Abingdon Cemetery followed by military rites. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
