Marcia Lynn Jenkins, 70, of Galesburg, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center with family at her side.

She was born May 23, 1952, in Monmouth, the daughter of David E. and Ellen (Starkey) Myers.  She married Baker A. Jenkins on January 13, 2002.  He preceded her in death on March 5, 2019, after 27 years of companionship.

She is survived by daughters, Jane Bloss and Jo Ellen Warren, both of Galesburg; five grandchildren, including Marlinn Dutton of Galesburg and Korrissa (Tyler) Rountree of Burlington, Iowa, whom she raised; five great grandchildren; siblings, David (Marcia) Myers of Kewanee, Rodney (Terry) Myers of Mediapolis, Iowa, Rhonda (Chuck) Myers of Davenport, Iowa, and Mary (Randy) Ray of Little York; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rex Myers, Jane Myers, and Terry Myers.

Marcia was raised and educated in Monmouth, where she graduated from high school.  She was a long-time volunteer at The Orpheum Theatre.  She loved games especially puzzle books, Mahjong, and other computer games.  She loved children and was a foster parent for a time.  Her world was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded.  Her remains will be scattered in East Linwood Cemetery in the summer of 2023.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Orpheum Theatre or to WoodRidge Supportive Living Center with the gift of time or supplies.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made on the funeral home’s website at www.h-p-w.com.
