Don’t Let Warming Up Your Vehicle Turn Catastrophic

Share

As the winter temperatures are here, warming up your vehicles could become catastrophic as people passing by could take that opportunity to steal your car, informs Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“It is winter time, it snows, frost is on the windshield and everyone wants to go out and start their car. Those cars sitting in driveways or out on the street running usually have your keys in them still, unless you have some type of remote start system on it, but that is an easy target for someone to come along and just jump in your car and take it. We have had that happen several times. People are walking by and just looking for that target.”

Chief Switzer advises locking your vehicles, garages, houses, and not leaving personal belongings in plain sight in your cars.
