Monmouth-Roseville Girls Basketball Bounces Back After Back-to-Back Losses

The Monmouth-Roseville girls varsity basketball team got a key bounce back win on Monday night when they beat Illini West in Carthage. Despite missing multiple key players due to injuries, the Titans were able to grit out the close 33-29 win. M-R Head Coach Scott Weber says he was impressed with the way his available players stepped up in the biggest moments.

After back to back losses to Sherrard and Macomb, the win for the Titans moves them to 17-4 on the season as they push to lock up top seeding for IHSA regionals. Next up for Monmouth-Roseville is a road conference match against Erie-Prophetstown tomorrow night, before the undefeated state ranked PORTA/AC Central Bluejays come to the Shoebox at Monmouth-Roseville High School on Saturday afternoon.
