Monmouth-Roseville Winter Sports Teams Nearing Postseason Play.

Share

The winter sports season has been running smoothly at Monmouth-Roseville high school, the weather has held up and no events have been cancelled or postponed so far this season. Outside of girls and boys basketball, the wrestling team has gotten on the mat multiple times, most recently at the Morton Invite this weekend. They will have meets at home, Erie-Prophetstown, and Kewanee this week. The M-R and West Central girls bowling coop took 3rd place at the A-Town invite, with bowling regionals on the horizon this month.

Along with basketball, wrestling, and bowling, competitive cheer and swimming are nearing post-season action. Monmouth-Roseville swimmer Anders Bergren will be at the Burlington Iowa invite this week, while the competitive cheerleading squad competed in their final regular season meet at Knoxville. They will now gear up for the Illinois Competitive Cheerleading Association State Meet.

All this sports action means more hard work for Monmouth-Roseville Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson. Adolphson appearing on the WRAM morning show on Monday, said that this winter season has been a busy, but successful and fun season to this point.
