Ruth Ann Nelson, 57, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at home.

Ruth was born February 2, 1965 in Galesburg, the daughter of Weldon Charles and Lennie Evelyn (Simpson) Nelson.  She married Andrew Larson.  He preceded her in death in 2018.  Ruth is survived by three sons, Jamie Nelson and John Nelson both of London Mills, Illinois and Ryan Nelson of Galesburg; three sisters, Leona Johnson of Abingdon, Illinois, Lavonna Collins of Maryville, Tennessee, and Pamela (Don) Curry of Clarksville, Tennessee; and one brother, Richard (Kellie) Nelson of Abingdon.  Along with her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth worked for several years at Phoenix Industries and later Renzenberger Transportation.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Church of God Prophesy, 207 N. Washington St., Abingdon, Illinois 61410.  Burial of cremated remains will be at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galeburg.
