Sara N. Hull, age 93, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 1:17 PM on

Monday, January 9, 2023 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg,

Illinois. She was born March 10, 1929 in Avon, Illinois, the daughter of

Elmer and Hilda (Dykeman) Sickles. Sara attended schools in the Monmouth

Area and graduated from Kirkwood High School. On August 15, 1945, she

married Elmer Lee Hull in Horse Cave, Kentucky and he preceded her in

death on April 15, 2011.

Sara worked for Formfit, Canfields, The National Bank (now Midwest

Bank), and Warren School District.  Her main interest was her family,

and she left her family knowing they were loved. She was very

independent and a strong role model.  She loved to travel, visiting 48

of the 50 United States. She also enjoyed country music entertainment

and crocheting.

Sara is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Larry) Livingston of Monmouth,

IL and Madeline (Steven) Swanson of Alabaster, AL, her sister, Nellie

Brownlee of Alexis, IL, her granddaughters; Michelle (Andy) Ribaudo of

Columbia, MO, Amy (Mike) Nero of Richmond, VA, Brandy (John) Sivley of

Helena, AL, Kristy (Duane) Swanson of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Rachel

(Xander) Keele of Las Vegas, NV, and her grandsons; Michael (Kendra)

Livingston of Sebring, FL, Joey (Nicole) Hull of Monmouth, IL, Matthew

(Toby) Livingston of Monmouth, IL, Steven (Melissa) Swanson of

Trussville, AL, and David Swanson of Alabaster, AL. She is also survived

by twenty great-granddaughters, ten great-grandsons, one

great-great-grandson, and two great-great-granddaughters. She is

preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, infant son Michael,

daughter Linda, son Gary, and two brothers.

A graveside service for Sara Hull is planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday,

January 14, 2023 at Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth, Illinois. Her family

will receive friends from 9:00-10:45 AM prior to the service at Turnbull

Funeral Home in Monmouth. Memorials may be left for Boy’s Town or the

local Honor Flights for our veterans. For more information, or to leave
