Bonnie Jean Arnold, 67, of Galesburg, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Bonnie was born August 14, 1955, to Richard S. and Margaret Jean (VeNard) Arnold.  Bonnie attended Galesburg area schools and graduated from the nursing program at Carl Sandburg College.  She worked in the nursing field for over 20 years, last working as the skin care coordinator at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg.

Bonnie married Ronald M. Arnold in 1980 in Galesburg.  He survives.  She is also survived by two sons, Chad R. (Angela) Goff of Dahinda, Illinois and Mike (Lori) Goff of Galesburg; and five grandchildren, Jordan Olson, Emma Porter, MacKenzie Goff, Seth Goff, and Garrett Goff.  Bonnie is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Alice) Arnold of Franklin, TN and William Arnold of Alamo, TX; and two sisters, Betty Walker of Henderson, IL and Annette (Keith) Gift of North Platte, NE.  Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.

Bonnie was a talented seamstress that many came to have their clothing tailored.  Bonnie’s life was centered around her family especially her grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Private family burial of cremated remains will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Bonnie’s grandchildren.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
