Donna K. Hallengren,74, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 10:43 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2023 at her home.

Donna was born June 1, 1948 in Yakima, WA the daughter of Gordon and Bernadine (Winters) Nichols.  She was raised and educated in Stronghurst, IL, graduating from Stonghurst High School.

Donna married Daniel Hallengren in Monmouth, IL on June 21, 2014 and he survives.

She was a Quality Auditor of Silgan Container in Ft. Madison, IA before retiring after 30 years

She loved pets, gardening, working outdoors and music, especially music of the 60’s.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Hallengren of Monmouth; her children, Mark (Melody) Billups of Burlington, IA and Mike (Tammy Kerr) Billups of  Douds, IA, Edward Hallengren of Johnston, IA, Kenneth (Amber) Hallengren of Milford, IA, and Angela (Rick) Muggli of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Brandon Billups, Jordan Scott, Dalton Billups, Jackie Poe, Elijah Kane, Alexander Kane, Hunter Hallengren, Haley Hallengren, Lilly Hallengren, Colton Permann, Marcus Permann and Jessica Miller; 4 great grandchildren, Xander Billups, Killian Billups, Adalynn Hall and Jovi Hall; her sisters, Mary Deisinger and Karen Sparrow; brothers, Dale  Nichols and Harry Nichols; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, June Elliot, Martha Brag and Allena Wilson, 2 brothers, Bill Nichols and John Nichols.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 17, 2023 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.  Visitation will be prior to the services from 12:00-2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
